Comments and Notes: subtitled "presents a portfolio of prints from the presses of Edward Stern & Company, Inc. 6th and Cherry Streets, Philadelphia 6, Pennsylvania" [1945] - Very Good+ paper covers/ Good portfolio envelope/ near Fine to Very Good+ prints - 14" tall x 11" - grey paper covers with red & blue lettering in gilt & blue decorative frame on front - b&w ills of prints with annotations - 1" closed tear at top of backstrip with faint crease, rusting staples, v. v. faint foxing at center margin ; otherwise near new with no markings of any kind - unnumbered (4) pages - 20.5" x 15" grey paper envelope has one half inch corner tear, overall exterior soiling, shallow dampstaining; envelope interior has faint foxing, shallow dampstaining at one edge; otherwise unmarked, clean. Five of six prints are present: "Washington Arch" (16.25" tall x 12") by Ellison Hoover; "The Angel Appearing to the Shepherds" (13" x 11.25") by Rembrandt; "Flight into Egypt" (15" x 11") by Durer; The Holy Family ( 14" tall x 20") by Luca Cambiaso; "The Almonry" (13" tall x 9") by Frederick Griggs: all b&w on similar off white/ivory (?) paper; some faint corner creasing, mild handling, random pinpoint spot at margins only. Print sizes given here are approximate & include margin; according to the publisher "The prints appear in the same sizes as their originals" reproduced by Optak Process, mostly from the National Gallery of Art.
